NC Nonprofits Survey was launched by North Carolina’s Office of Strategic Partnerships (OSP) and the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits (NCCN). The survey, offered in English and Spanish, was sent to more than 20,000 nonprofit email addresses provided by the Secretary of State's Office. Thanks to over 2,000 people who took time to respond to the survey, we now have a more nuanced picture of North Carolina’s nonprofit sector during COVID-19—including experiences, needs, gaps, and opportunities.
NC Strategic Partnerships enhances partnerships between state government and North Carolina’s renowned research and philanthropic sectors.

Hurricane Season
Hurricane season starts June 1 – pandemic or no pandemic. Prepare now to protect your home before storm season by doing these quick things:
- Take pictures of home inventory, important documents (proof of home ownership, insurance) and rabies certificates for pets. Email them to yourself or back them up to the cloud.
- Make sure you have all contacts in your mobile phone or available remotely.
- Make sure your insurance is up to date, and consider flood or wind insurance where appropriate.
Need help with hurricane recovery? Contact ReBuild NC, or call 211 for more information.

CERT
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area, and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. CERT offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization the professional responders can rely on during disaster situations. CERT volunteers can also help with non-emergency projects that help make their communities safer and more resilient. CERT programs welcome individuals of all abilities. CERT Training takes a total of approximately 20-30 hours.
